Fraser Murray had a season long loan at Dunfermline from Hibernian in season 2020-21.

He grew up in Baillieston, starting playing football at East End Thistle before being picked up by Hibs as an eight year old.

Assisted by coaches including Grant Murray and Eddie May, Fraser rose through the Academy ranks, making his competitive debut in the club`s Irn Bru Cup tie with Turriff United in 2016.

The midfielder scored the opening goal in the cup tie in Aberdeenshire and looked a threat throughout. He went on to make further appearances towards the end of the 2016-17 season, winning the man-of-the-match award in a 3-2 home success against Raith Rovers.

A successful pre-season in 2017 saw Fraser become a permanent fixture in the first team squad, and the midfielder scored twice in the Betfred Cup group stages. In all he has scored four goals in 29 appearances for Hibs but 23 of those were as a sub.

Fraser`s season with The Pars went well and he made 31 appearances, roughly half of which were from the bench. Fraser opened his goalscoring account at Dunfermline with a brace in the Betfred Cup tie against Kilmarnock on 13th October 2020. He scored 6 goals. At the end of the season, with Athletic failing to gain promotion, he signed for Kilmarnock and for the next four seasons was a fairly regular selection, with well over 100 appearances.

In the summer of 2025, his contract was not renewed and he was snapped up by Wigan Athletic in English Division 1.
