Stirling born, Jim Kerray joined Dunfermline in 1960 from Raith Rovers where he had scored 28 goals in 76 games. A regularly scoring forward, he had two periods at East End Park, leaving in 1960 after a brief spell with four goals in eleven league games to sign for Huddersfield Town. He went on to play for Newcastle United before returning to East End Park in 1962. In 1964 he was transferred to St Johnstone for £6250 having been the club`s top scoring forward in 1963-64.
When he left the Pars two years later he joined St Johnstone, then Stirling Albion and Falkirk. Last Dunfermline appearance was against Hearts in the Summer Cup. 68 appearances for Dunfermline, 24 goals.
Jim passed away on 6th November 2021 at the age of 85.
