Lee Ashcroft is a powerful central defender who joined the Pars in May 2016.

He had joined Hillwood Boys Club as a 15 year old but was quickly signed up by Kilmarnock. Manager Kenny Shiels introduced Lee to first team football while still only 19 years of age.

A week after making his first team debut as a sub versus Dundee on 11th May 2013, Lee made his first team debut start in the penultimate SPL match of the 2012/13 season against Hibernian, scoring the Killie goal past Sean Murdoch in a 3-1 defeat.

Lee then signed a new three year contract and went on to captain the Rugby Park side for the first time while only 21 on 4th April 2015 in a 2-1 defeat to Motherwell. Lee made 25, 22 and 20 appearances for Killie over the last three seasons.

Although Lee started the play off final against Falkirk that ended 4-0, he was one of six players released by Kilmarnock at the end of the 2015-2016 season.

Made his first start for the Pars in their 3-0 win over Arbroath in July 2016.

Lee soon established himself and spent four years in the first team, including a season as skipper. In 2018/19 he even managed to be top scorer with 8 goals - not bad for a centre half. He left in the summer of 2020 after 164 appearances and 10 goals, to join Dundee.

The spell at Dens Park lasted four years with around 100 appearances, before he moved, in 2024, to Firhill and Partick Thistle.

Dunfermline record: 164 starts, 10 goals
