Less than four weeks after competing in the Scottish Cup Final, Dunfermline players returned for testing on 18th June. They jetted off next day for pre season training was once again in Bulgaria. The Pars returned to Bansko, a ski resort that lies at the foot of the Pirin Mountains, at an elevation of 3000 feet above sea level. The town is about 100 miles south of Bulgaria`s capital, Sofia.
After a tough week of warm weather training Neil Lennon`s squad played a friendly against Romanian side, FC Botosani who finished ninth in their country`s top league last season.
Billy Terrell played the 90 minutes in goals, with a full outfield change at half time. The only goal of the game was scored by 25 year old striker, Zoran Mitrov in 61st minute.

On their return to Scotland the Pars took on Darren Young`s Clyde side the following day at New Douglas Park, Hamilton.
